The Center for Global Pentecostal Studies and Practice presents:
“Toward a Pentecostal Theology of Healing: Navigating Disability and the Church”
What do I do when my prayers for healing are not answered? During his earthly ministry, one of Jesus’s primary tasks was to heal the sick, yet the church struggles with the ongoing vestiges of brokenness in the form of disability. How should the church, which believes in the healing power of Pentecost, navigate disability to create an environment that encourages love, acceptance, and healing?
The CGPSP invites you to join us for a discussion led by Dr. Andy Opie with a panel including Ms. Joan Cartledge and Drs. Jonathan Chism and Claire Williams. This session will address pastoral, theological, and historical questions about the nature of disability in the context of the church that believes in divine healing. Join us as we explore the role of disability and healing to equip and conform Christ’s church to his image in anticipation of the arrival of the Kingdom of God.
